Abraham – The Father of All Who Are Saved by Faith

Text: Romans 4 – After making it clear in Chapter 3 that God’s justification comes through faith, not obedience to the Law, the Apostle Paul points his readers to Abraham as an example. In the Old Testament, God declared Abraham, the great Patriarch of the Jews, righteous because of his faith long before he has the sign of circumcision and hundreds of years before Moses gave the Law. In this message, Pastor Russ helps us understand that we too are saved, not by the things we do, not by following the rules or going to church or carrying a big Bible. Just as Abraham was declared righteous because of his faith in God, we too are saved through faith in Christ and his death on the cross that paid for our sin.
