Text: Micah 6:6-8 – With all the poverty, injustice and need in the world around us, it can be overwhelming for Christians to try to make a difference. It is even more daunting when the Jesus teaches us that unless we care for the poor and needy, we can not even call ourselves disciples. How then should we live? Pastor Russ teaches us God’s response from the book of Micah. God is not looking for us to “save the world” from poverty or hunger. He is looking for godly character – character that stands up for justice when and where we can; that loves being kind and merciful to those God brings into our lives; that has a personal relationship with God characterized by humility.
