Text: Romans 7 – Most individuals and business dread audits. But audits are beneficial in that they expose problems that need to cease. The Apostle Paul makes this point in Chapter 7, teaching us that the law of God acts as an auditor, exposing sin in our lives and reminding us how much we need God’s grace and forgiveness. We live in a culture that does not like to be “judged” for moral failings. The culture’s solution is to lower the moral standard. God’s solution is sanctification – to stop being a slave to sin and surrender to Christ and strive for a life of purity and holiness.
